Online Learning - COVID-19 Update

This research guide is regularly being updated to reflect changes  to online library services during the COVID-19 pandemic. New materials are added as they become available.

Faculty and staff looking for online learning resources, please visit our Online Learning Guide for Faculty.

Welcome!

This guide provides information for students as they navigate online learning and available library resources.

Welcome to Raynor Memorial Libraries, our mission is to foster growth in learning, scholarship and discovery for our campus community. Whether you are on-campus or off, our librarians and staff are committed to providing you the research and scholarship resources you need.

While you are online, you have access to the same resources including books, databases, and journals, as students who take classes on campus. Visit the tabs on the left to get started.

What is available to online learners?

Online students and faculty have access to most of the same resources and support from Marquette University that are available to students and teachers on-campus. All you need is your CheckMarq username and password (the same as you use for email and D2L).

Our online resources include:

  • E-books: These can be read online, and some can be downloaded or checked out.
  • Articles in online journals and magazines:  The library subscribes to several hundred article databases.  Many can be searched all at once through MARQCATplus.  For complex searching, we recommend that you search the databases individually.
  • Data databases:  For business, there are also databases of data.  You must search these individually.
