Citatation management software helps you organize your research and can generate bibliographies (sweet!). 

They take some initial work to upload/import your citations and then future maintenance work.

A note about Purdue OWL: it has so much great information - but they now promote a citation generator at the top of their webpages. That is an ad - ignore it. I've tried it and it's not correct. If you are going to use a citation generator - see the software examples below.
