Online Learning for Faculty: Video, Images, and Audio

Where to Start

If you have streaming video questions - contact your library liaison. A link to the list of librarians is located below.

There is also a link below that connects to the audio, media, and video databases from the A-Z database list.

The OER Repositories page links to other places that host videos, images, and audio as well.

Streaming Videos available through the Library

Marquette has a wide range of streaming videos that you can use for your online class. We recommend these databases as they offer a broad range of subject areas when you begin your search. There is also a link to a more comprehensive list of streaming video databases - some which are more subject specific.

Finding other Streaming Videos

If the above platforms do not offer what you are looking for - we can purchase individual titles for your classes.

The links below will direct you to our streaming video vendors. You can search and browse for a title. Contact your librarian (subject liaison list here: https://www.marquette.edu/library/about/subjectspec.php) and they will be happy to work with you to acquire the title you want.

How to create accounts in streaming video platforms

Below is a Word document that outlines how to create an account for O'Reilly and Alexander Street Press. Alexander Street Press is a major vendor that offers robust streaming video options. O'Reilly offers streaming videos and book chapters. Creating accounts offers more options to view and access resources.

The document states that you should download the VPN. You can access both resources without the VPN. If you experience any issues - please contact the library.
