Commercial sources

CBRE Group
CBRE is a commercial real estate services and investment company. They publish reports about specific markets and specific types of real estate. For example, here's their Q2 2021 report on the Milwaukee market.
CBRE U.S. Real Estate Market Outlook 2024
Usually comes out in December of the year before.
JLL Research
Jones Lang LaSalle IP Inc. -- covers Milwaukee.
To download reports, you will have to provide your email.
Lee & Associates
They cover Madison WI, Chicago IL, and the Twin Cities, but not Milwaukee!
MSCI Research & Insights - Real Estate
Includes blog posts and podcasts as well as reports (e.g. 2023 Trends to Watch in Real Assets).
Zillow Market Reports and News Stories
Look for the descriptor "market reports" above the titles.

Nonprofit and trade associations

CRE Finance Council Resources
Some free reports, but many are for members only.
MBA - Commercial/Multifamily Research

Fitch Solutions Country Industry Report, via ProQuest.
MarketLine - Real Estate in the United States
MarketLine industry profile via Ebsco's Business Source Premier. Usually issued in June.
Finding the most recent issue: look in the right column under "All issues and articles", open the date menu (+) and click on the date.
