The state recognizes your organization as an Incorporated Nonprofit Organization.

File with the IRS as a nonprofit, even if you do not have any employees.

Your organization is assigned an identification number for the IRS to track your reports & 1023 tax exempt application.

Federal Tax Exemption

Determine which section of the IRS code you are applying under.

File with the IRS as a tax exempt organization (preferably within 27 months of incorporation).

IRS Publication 557 & IRS Form 1023 or 1024.

If requesting an advance ruling, obtain & prepare 2 IRS advance ruling forms:
