Circulation FAQ's

How many books can I check out?

Current Marquette University students, faculty and employees can check out as many books as they want to be responsible for.

Courtesy card holders and special borrowers can check out up to ten books at a time.

Can I renew books online?

Yes. Log in to your MARQCAT account using your Marqnet/Email credentials. Click on your list of currently checked out materials. Select the items you would like to renew by checking the box next to each title. Then, hit the button to Renew Selected Items.

What does it mean if I have a book recalled from me?

All circulating items are subject to recall by other users; the first user is guaranteed 10 days usage. When a recall is issued the original due date is cancelled and a new due date is established.

How long can I have a book checked out?

That depends on your status within the university. Check the Circulation Borrowing Privileges for details.

Where can I check out the markers for the whiteboards?

Whiteboard markers are available at the Library Services Desk in Raynor Library.
