Off-Campus Use of Library Online Resources

Marquette students can access the Libraries' subscription-based electronic resources (databases, ejournals, ebooks, etc.) from off campus by one of the following methods.  Both methods require a Marquette (MARQNET) user name and password.

Method 1: Library Log-in

Most library resources can be accessed from off campus simply by logging in when automatically prompted by the web site.

  1. For most of the library e-resources, you will be able to go directly to the library home page and click on the e-resource you want to use
  2. You will then be directed to a login screen where you will be asked to enter your MARQNET username and password

Method 2: Marquette Web VPN

The above method cannot access a small number of library resources from off campus, notably JSTOR. A VPN connection is required for these and will also work on most other sources.

  1. First, connect to the VPN using your MARQNET Username and password
  2. Go to the Library website and start your research
