International Standards

Standards that are adopted by an international standards organization and made available to the public. This practice promotes compatibility and enables people to work and build on a common model regardless of location.  The best recognized group that issues these standards is the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

 

International Standards Sources

  • International Standards Organization (ISO)  
    Worldwide federation of national standards bodies from more than 145 countries, promotes the development of worldwide standards to facilitate international exchange of goods and services. Searchable catalogue.
  • International Electrochemical Commission  
    World organization that prepares and publishes International Standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies. Search for standards throught eh 'store'.
  • World Standards Serivices Network (WSSN)  
    A network of publicly accessible World Wide Web servers of standards organizations around the world, provides information on international, regional and national standardization.
