Welcome

Scanning has not only become easier in the past few years but its use is more prevalent too.  Today's scanning equipment enables users to scan documents, photos, negatives, and slides.  Software such as PhotoShop and Photoshop Elements allow users to clean up scanns (remove red-eye, spots, and blemishes) crop and resize photos and documents.  For printed documents Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software allow the conversion from print to electronic formats.

This guide provides the basics for learning about scanning from glossries to detailed manuals for the scanning equipment available in Raynor Memorial Libraries.
