Critically Appraised Topics (CATs)
The University of Oxford's Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine includes a software program called CATMaker that is available for download. This program guides users through the evidence-based process to create one-page summaries (CATs - Critically Appraised Topics) of articles on therapy, diagnosis, prognosis, etiology/harm, and systematic reviews of therapy.

Critical Appraisal Worksheets
The University of Toronto's Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine includes worksheets for appraising studies that answer different kinds of clinical questions. Appraisal tools are also available from the NHS Public Health Resource Unit's Critical Appraisals Skill Programme (CASP.)
Calculators and Tools
Online tools are available to help interpret study results by doing calculations such as control event rate, relative risk, relative risk reduction, absolute risk reduction, number needed to treat, and confidence intervals.
