Created by the Modern Language Association, MLA is widely used in the humanities, especially in writing on language and literature.

There are two authoritative MLA style guides; the Handbook is used primarily by undergraduates; the Style Manual is recommended for faculty and graduate students. Both can be found in Raynor Reference and in Memorial Library for checkout.
